On Edge Numberings of the n-Cube Graph

چکیده
Given two disjoint groups U and V each containing 2n−1 people. Suppose an experiment (or a game) requires pairwise comparisons between u ∈ U and v ∈ V in such a way that u ∈ U (v ∈ V ) is compared exactly with n people v ∈ V (u ∈ U). Only one comparison can be done at a time, and the comparisons are made along the n2n−1 edges of the n−cube graph Qn with vertex classes U and V . The paper deals with sequential orderings of these n2n−1 pairs (u, v) ∈ U×V for which the maximum time duration a person has to stay in the sequence for comparison purposes or the total time duration of the 2n people in the sequence, respectively, is small. Analogous problem of finding optimal sequences of all k−subsets of an n−set or of all pairs (x, y) ∈ X×Y , |X| = |Y | = n, were considered in [7] and [3] respectively.

CERTAIN TYPES OF EDGE m-POLAR FUZZY GRAPHS
In this research paper, we present a novel frame work for handling $m$-polar information by combining the theory of $m-$polar fuzzy sets with graphs. We introduce certain types of edge regular $m-$polar fuzzy graphs and edge irregular $m-$polar fuzzy graphs. We describe some useful properties of edge regular, strongly edge irregular and strongly edge totally irregular $m-$polar fuzzy graphs. W...
متن کاملOn the edge-connectivity of C_4-free graphs
Let $G$ be a connected graph of order $n$ and minimum degree $delta(G)$.The edge-connectivity $lambda(G)$ of $G$ is the minimum numberof edges whose removal renders $G$ disconnected. It is well-known that$lambda(G) leq delta(G)$,and if $lambda(G)=delta(G)$, then$G$ is said to be maximally edge-connected. A classical resultby Chartrand gives the sufficient condition $delta(G) geq frac{n-1}{2}$fo...
متن کاملCutwidth of triangular grids
When the vertices of an n-vertex graph G are numbered by the integers 1 through n, the length of an edge is the difference between the numbers on its endpoints. Two edges overlap if the larger of their lower numbers is less than the smaller of their upper numbers. The bandwidth of G is the minimum, over all numberings, of the maximum length of an edge. The cutwidth of G is the minimum, over all...
متن کاملOn the signed Roman edge k-domination in graphs
Let $kgeq 1$ be an integer, and $G=(V,E)$ be a finite and simplegraph. The closed neighborhood $N_G[e]$ of an edge $e$ in a graph$G$ is the set consisting of $e$ and all edges having a commonend-vertex with $e$. A signed Roman edge $k$-dominating function(SREkDF) on a graph $G$ is a function $f:E rightarrow{-1,1,2}$ satisfying the conditions that (i) for every edge $e$of $G$, $sum _{xin N[e]} f...
متن کاملON THE EDGE COVER POLYNOMIAL OF CERTAIN GRAPHS
Let $G$ be a simple graph of order $n$ and size $m$.The edge covering of $G$ is a set of edges such that every vertex of $G$ is incident to at least one edge of the set. The edge cover polynomial of $G$ is the polynomial$E(G,x)=sum_{i=rho(G)}^{m} e(G,i) x^{i}$,where $e(G,i)$ is the number of edge coverings of $G$ of size $i$, and$rho(G)$ is the edge covering number of $G$. In this paper we stud...
